Recharging is well under the spec. Love the set and would buy again in a beat. This is an excellent kit , with an excellent drill and saw. 1 hour. To make it better Amazon had a great price. The tools a a bit heavy ,but that's the price for heavy duty equipment. Holds charge well during hard work.
The modern cordless drills are "disposable", in that when the batteries die, its better to replace the drill, since the cost of replacing the batteries equal the the cost of whole combo set. Panasonic have their own research and manaufacturing facilities for batteries.However, if you want cordless jig saw, Panasonic does not have that option. So, time for a new dril. I have not used Bosch, so can't compare run time against Bosch. Quick summary:Drill:Pro: Plenty of power, long extended run time Con: Heavier than other 18V professional Drills, Direction switch too close to index finger,Reciprocating Saw:Pro: Quick blade change Again, battery gives it long run time.Con: Lacks the power of corded saw, as with other cordless tools.
So, my purchase was made as "disposable" purchase with three batteries.Very good tool overall,. I had chance to get Panasonic drill/saw combo with three batteries for the price of three Panasonic batteries. Again, from the battery perspective, Panasonic has the best batteries. Saw. The DeWalt units are OK but battery run time is limited. Saw/Recip. Milwaukee seems to have problem with their batteries, I have had problems with Home Depot home brand tools. Panasonic tools are limited to Drill/Circ.
The blade guard at times slips with vibration.More details:I got tired of cheap drills running out of charge driving long screws. So, if you must have the Jig saw, you must choose DeWalt or Bosch. reason for not giving a 5 star is that there is no perfect tool. Given that I decided to get the best drill/saw combo, I decided to get the best set with the best battery available. And the comfort of tool is to me less than Panasonic.
Still feeling bad. I also got the same price mistake cancellation email. Great product, bad service from amazon this time around.
